Just a couple of tips

Sorry guys this may seem old hat to a lot of you but the amount of times I get asked to do this when fixing or upgrading someones PC gets wearisome. This is for those that don't know.

REMOVING BALOON TIPS from windows

Click Start in the search box type "regedit" (without the quotes)

XP users click on run and type it there
Vista & & users click on the regedit icon.

Click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER
SOFTWARE
MICROSOFT
WINDOWS
CURRENTVERSION
EXPLORER
ADVANCED
click on EDIT (top left of page) NEW then DWORD (for32bit) QWORD (for64bit)
In the NewValue box that appears at the bottom right type in
"EnableBalloonTips" ( without the quotes, note capitals E, B, T.)
Click on an empty part of the screen and make sure the data value set after this box
has a value of (0), should do by default, if not click on the box and select modify
and change value to (0). Thats it

ADVICE WHEN USING DOWNLOADED RAR FILES
A lot of people miss this, believe it or not. After a download containing rar
file / files I've seen people just extract to here or a designated directory and
not bothering to view the NFO file contained therein then getting sysinfo file
when having a look via windows. Please make a habit before extracting to double
click the rar file first and look for text files or NFO files and use the rar
view option. These often contain descriptions, install instructions and serial
No's.
